Cranberry Wine Soaked Beef (QUICK)

  • 2-3 pounds stew meat
  • 1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup red wine

Toss butter, red wine, and stew meat into sauce pan. Stir in jellied cranberry sauce. Cut each piece of stew meat into small pieces as it cooks (I use kitchen scissors and a fork…works great. You want a gravy like consistency. When meat is cooked thoroughly add 2 tbs of flour or cornstarch to thicken the gravy.

We make make mashed potatoes and put the beef and gravy/sauce over them or make roasted potatoes and throw them in the sauce pan with the gravy.

Beautiful little sauce with very little ingredients.
