Try your best to keep your dorm room like a home away from home. You’ll be surprised at all you can do to give it a warm and cozy look. Try your best to keep it tidy too. You never know when your parents may come for a visit!
Some important stuff:
1. Your Laptop. Your Printer and Paper to go with it. Better not forget these!
2. Ink for your Printer. Don’t run out. Always buy in doubles.
3. Microwave. You will be using it quite often. It’s not always easy to cook full meals while at college. Hopefully you can try to eat sensibly, if possible.
4. Apartment Size Refrigerator. Keep it well stocked.
5. Cell phone. Try to get a reasonable plan to save money. While away at college it’s a good idea to try to be frugal. Those college bills will start soon enough.
6. Electronics: iPod, headset, flash drive and power strips. You’ll need these when you take a well deserved break from studying.
7. Digital camera, or flip camera. Don’t forget these! You will want to capture as many memories as possible.
8. Small television / DVD player OR get TV on your computer via satellite.
9. Coffee Maker or Teapot.
10. Iron and Board. You may use these on special occasions. Most of the time, you may just wear wash and wear, if you’re like me.
11. Vacuum, Broom and Dust Pan. (You’ll use these before your parents visit).
12. Bedding. A good mattress is essential.
13. “Bed in a Bag” and sheets
One of the most important things is college dorm furniture . You’ll need a good night’s sleep to be at your best while in class.
