Humble Beginnings
The story of Team Nutz began in 1995 when Ed Nuttall, the founder, installed his first pair of 15″ subwoofers in a parking lot in Sheraden, Pittsburgh, PA. The passion for sound system competitions grew, leading Ed to compete on a national level by 2000. All this while funding his travels by building subwoofer boxes in a back alley garage on Southern Ave in Mount Washington, Pittsburgh, PA.
Growth and Expansion
In 2003, the first Team Nutz location was established in Castle Shannon, thanks to a loan from Dollar Bank. Over the years, the business expanded, adding a second location at the Fox Chapel Yacht Club in 2007. This location helped Team Nutz build strong business relationships and develop skills in marine detailing and marine electronic business.
However, in 2018, Team Nutz decided to close its Fox Chapel store to focus on the growth of their new location at 3287 Library Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15234 – In Castle Shannon. Here, they have added many additional services to their repertoire, including Vinyl Wraps, Truck Accessories, Vehicle Restoration and Customization, Suspension Lift Kits, and much more.
