A love for cars

A Man on a Mission…The Story of Matt Linko

Matt Linko recently joined the 3:00 Automotive Technology Program with quite an interesting story. He is originally from Pittsburgh but lived in Indiana for a short time while attending UBC. What does UBC stand for? It is Union Bible College, and yes, he is a licensed Minister. He also has a musical background as he was in an award winning quartet called “Sounds of Praise” at UBC. Matt has his Bachelor’s Degree in Missions Career. This particular degree requires him to obtain two associates de-grees in two different fields in order to bring a trade to the different towns and villages he visits. That is how he found his way to Rosedale.

Matt said that he has always had a love for cars. He grew up around his grandfather who was an airplane mechanic for over 35 years. Matt even worked at UBC as a full-time mechanic while attending classes. Matt has participated in Mission work recently in Mexico, building and repairing two churches. His work has also taken him to South Africa, visiting farms and “getting acquainted“ with the locals. Matt enjoyed his time in South Africa so much that upon graduating from Rosedale, he hopes to return to Kestell, South Africa with his fiancé and oversee several churches as a Field Director.

We are very proud to have Matt at Rosedale and we wish him luck with all of his future
