Some Facts To Know:
1. Barstools are simply stools that have a foot rest. Used to be these types of chairs were just seen at public places or at a bar; however, now barstools are becoming more popular in all types of places, including regular homes. In the home they are usually placed at the counter in the kitchen or at a gameroom bar. There’s many styles to choose which makes it enhance the decor of any room. What’s really cool about them is that they offer a higher view when drinking, eating, or just talking with friends. A good word to describe Barstools is “versatile.” Use them at a table, at any type of counter, in front of the TV, or even by a swimming pool.
2. Barstools are usually made of either wood or metal. Bar stools can be made from rattan, bamboo, chrome and vinyl. Aluminum can be a sensible choice for stools that will be used outside. Stacking aluminum stools and patio chairs are used commercially for space saving. Wood and upholstery are very popular in regular home settings.
3. Think about the seat of the stool. Would you prefer it to have a cushion on the back? Think about if you want the seat to swivel. It’s actually easier to get on and off a swivel seat. Stools with a cushion on the back supports better posture and may be more comfortable.
4. Barstools usually come in 3 heights: 24 inches, 30 inches, and 34 inches. The best thing to do is to choose a barstool with an adjustable height. Extra tall barstools are 36″ (91,5cm). A regular dining chair height is 18 inches (46cm).
5. Foot ring. This gives you a place to keep your feet while on the stool.
6. Armrests. When the stools have armrests, you can place your arm in a comfortable position.
